Rails seems to be growing slowly more and more for each day that goes by. It has even managed to stir up some smaller points of controversy in the Java camp.
It has also started gaining some commercial support, and the companies behind, not surprisingly, speaks highly of Rails. I know of a few more companies, and universities/educations, that are working on Rails projects as well, including myself.
And a few community projects has seen the light of Rails too, like the Ruby FAQ and RCRchive. There seems to be some mystery surrounding rubygems.org aswell.
There’s already a few opensource projects underway aswell, like epilog, elitejournal, RForum (which will have a builtin NNTP server). Aswell and one by yours truly which should hopefully see the light of day shortly, expect an official announcement soon.
